Learn how to mend your clothing by hand using Japanese embroidery techniques to repair, strengthen and embellish denim, cotton or linen fabric.

Using simple running stitch you will be introduced to traditional Sashiko designs, created with stencils or free hand, to secure fabric patches over worn areas, creating unique, mended garments.

Bring along an item of clothing in need of repair or something you’d like to embellish. Any garment in denim, cotton or linen such as jeans, shirts and dresses are all ideal for this type of mending.

All materials will be provided and ticket price includes wine and nibbles, a Sashiko best practice information sheet and your choice of thread and patching materials to continue at home. No previous experience necessary
