It's hard not to fall in love with the work of Blue Firth, of Dohm Ceramics. Her work combines traditional forms with expressive decoration and colour. The palette is reminiscent of lichen, rock and sky. There is real depth and mood in each piece she makes.
This Harlequin Serving Plate is the result of a collaboration between Berdoulat and Blue. We asked her to work with a traditional oval platter shape, and include her wonderful playful harlequin pattern on a large scale, with rich bronze tones over the stoneware. It's not only a beautiful piece to display, but frames food beautifully, be it a vibrant salad or sliced cold cuts...
Please note that owing to their being handmade plates, sizes can vary by a few millimeters, and there is a welcome wibble to each. We recommend washing by hand only.
