Napkin rings are close to our hearts at Berdoulat. Patrick proposed to Neri with a napkin ring. It was silver, with the big question engraved on the inner edge, given to her at a picnic beneath a great big oak in their favourite woodland spot.
The design of our napkin rings is based on a set Patrick's father gave him one Christmas. Numbered 1-8, the idea is that guests staying for a weekend let's say, could remember their number and use their napkin over several meals.
Turned from solid walnut with mother of pearl inlays, they are housed in a beautiful presentation box, which features our Boraracha marble as a print design - a pattern developed with our neighbour and master marble paper maker Florence Saumarez.
